It’s Spring! And that means…
…our Annual Scandinavian Champagne Brunch! And a new website! And a Kubb Tournament!
We just got this website up and running in time for the Annual Scandinavian Champagne Brunch. It’s still missing content, and I’m sure there are mistakes, etc., but we aimed to keep it light, clean and simple, so hopefully there won’t be too many. It’s a work in progress, so bear with us. But hopefully in the near future we’ll have updates not only for things we’re doing, but also Scandinavian cultural events going on in Chicago that we’d like to share with everyone.
For now, we have the brunch coming up on May 31, 2008. Do check out the event page and sign up if you’re interested. It always promises to be a great time. We also have a Kubb Tournament coming up on June 7, 2008 (the following weekend). We’ve never done this before but expect it to be lots of fun, plus it’s the day after the Swedish National Day so it’ll be a festive way to celebrate. More info on that event up soon!
Our group’s been around awhile, but we’ve evolved over time and are currently seeking new people. If you have any interest, drop us an email at lagom@chicagoswedes.org and let us know!
Thanks for taking the time to stop by. This website is obviously in its infancy, but hopefully it’ll grow (and adjust accordingly) over time. Feel free to contact us if you have any comments or suggestions, too.
